Who said my social life was dead? To beat Monday blues, I took my baby cousins (ok not so baby anymore) out for some drinking and dancing… ok I was “pimping” both of them!

I don’t remember if I have told my readers this but, when I was younger, I was the naughty cousin sister, the one who drinks from an early age, smoke cigarettes, late nights, and bad spending habits! Hey my parents brought me up just fine, I got a good education and all, and I am married to a wonderful man. To me, I JUST HAD A NORMAL LIFE. So, all my aunties and uncles have always warned my cousins to stay away… BUT… they keep coming back for fun.

My baby girl cousin is all grown up to a ripe age of 21, but I must say she can hold her alcohol better now comparing to a year ago… but attracting guys…still plenty room for improvement. Unfortunately she has not graduated from Lynn’s School of Partying. As for my baby cousin brother of 25 years old…he graduated top from my “school”! He is now Dr. Casanova of Kuching!!! (he is a real doctor!) Parties hard, work hard…this one finally found the balance! SO darn proud of him!!

The rest of my cousins, well no more hope… all studious and they keep away from trouble (namely me!) But its ok… hopefully one day one of my “students” will take over my place as the “wild” one of the family.

Estee Lauder Model Seach 2008

Had a bonding session with mom last Saturday. I dragged her and my little cousin sister to QB Mall for the Estee Lauder Model Search 2008! Yes I feel we all have the model quality …ha ha ha… SOOO just because we did not want to draw a lot of crowd while doing the make over, we went to the mall at 10am!!!...Usually I will still be snoozing at home, but in the name of beauty, I manage to wake up!

We started with make up, my make up artist was super keduper nice, think her name was Rainne (pronounce Re-nee or Rain-nee), she gave me fantastic sexy smoldering sexy sexy kaboom smoky eyes and kept everything else minimal. LOVE IT!!! I wanna pack her up in my bag and take her home! Then I was moved to the hair station, the stylist ask me what I wanted… so I told her I wanted a quiff, she did something else… equally as fantastic as my make up!!! I LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!! I look super super gorgeous!!! ( REMEMBER I HAVE NO SHAME!!!)

THEN….I went to get my clothes styled by eclipse…I love their clothes… the stylist gave me a jersey gold/beige toga type dress that I refuse to take off after the photo shoot…LOVE IT TO BITS!!! THEN …it was photo shoot time… the photographer was so nice and made me relax and the whole experience was nice! So snap snap snap… think bout 20 odd shots and I was sent to pick my photo to submit for the model search… I tell you, I wanna learn to touch up photos… before and after… a lot of difference!! Ha ha ha… but still can tell it was me la.

Mom and Adelin looks good… think Adelin got model quality…very photogenic… as for mom… she looks classy for her age… and me… what can I say… ha ha ha… I will post up some pics when I get the dvd…I KNOW I AM VAIN!!! But seriously… it was not about joining the model search, it was more about dressing up and getting everything done LIKE what a model would go through. FUN!

SO… if by any MIRACLE, any of us get picked up as a semi finalist…please please…I beg u!!! Vote for us!!!!

Stop The Abuse

People regret in life… but me… I have a few regrets…BUT I never regretted any of my relationships, no matter how stupid there are… especially my first relationship where I was emotionally, mentally, verbally and physically abuse for 3 whole years. I never regret the pain I went through, cause I know I was young and naïve and because of that, I can share my experience with other women that is going through the same thing.

Sometimes, being in an abusive relationship, I must admit, I did not know, I was so blinded and in love. And when it got worse, I was just afraid to leave…afraid that no one would want me anymore. And I was afraid my parents would hate me, and my friends would laugh at me.

He was so sweet to me in the beginning, treated me like a princess, then things just got worse started with being constantly possessive, then throwing verbal abuse at me, embarrass me in public and then eventually hitting me in public. The final draw was when he punches my nose and it broke. That was it, my friends told my parents and an intervention was in place. Talk about DRAMAS!!!!

Today, as my readers would know, I am happily married to a non-abusive man. But unfortunately, I have friends who were and some still is in abusive relationships and for those who got out of it, it feels like a whole house was lifted from their shoulders and they feel liberated. For those who are still in it, I can feel and see that their soul is slowly dying, the denial, and the hope that one day everything will change, just like how I felt all those years ago. But, no matter how much you tell an abused person to leave, it is up to them to take the stand, we can only standby and watch and pray that one day they will have the courage to leave before its too late.

A friend recently sent me this article on the "The Loser" Warning Signs of Dating A Loser by Joe Carver. I plead to anyone who is reading this entry who believes that they or any of their friends or loved ones are in an abusive relationship to read the article. It may help, they need all the help and support.

Coke Bottle Body

Have you ever wonder why men go ga ga over certain girls? Like the tall, slim, long shiny straight jet black hair, white porcelain skin girls which majority of men love and worship. I JUST DON’T GET IT!!! I mean they all look the same, like androids produced from the same factory. No character, no personality and worst of all they are afraid of our glorious SUN!!

I have seen these girls covering up to go to the beach and then stay in the shades and slap on sun block and carry an umbrella…POINT???

Don’t get me wrong, these girls can be gorgeous for example Zhang ZiYi, but seriously girls… if you don’t have white porcelain skin, live with it, no amount of whitening lotions, cream, serums can help you…imagine your face white and the rest of your body is of a darker shade… FREAKY!!!!

I am happy that I don’t like to be porcelain white… I prefer having a golden tan… healthier, and I prefer my short hair and I don’t wanna be skinny stick thin… I wanna be curvaceous… Coke bottle shape… 50’s pin-up girls look a like… that is what I want….

Updates

Back at work after my cousin sister’s big day! So like I mention before I lost 7 kilos and 5 more to go before Gwen’s wedding… GUESS WHAT? Over the span of 4 days I put back on 2 kilos… thanks to my grandma’s “lor ark” (braised duck in dark sauce) and my Uncle John’s sister’s “tu tor ting” (pig intestines pepper soup) both my favorite favorite food in the whole wide world (after my mom’s “kiam chai ting” ( preserve veggie soup).

So yes… I have gain it back… but now I am back to my fruit and veggies-calorie- counting diet. I am determined to lose the 2 kilos I put on by the end of the week. *fingers cross*

On another topic…my mom! My mom! She bought me 2 sets of the corset, girdle, ugly grandma pants and bra for me to wear… so I can lift my very sagging-almost-30- years-old –but- look- like -50years- old butt and also to lift back my breast so it will defy gravity. It is pricey so she put me on a guilt trip if I don’t put it on at least 8 hours a day.

The first time I put it on, I swear I felt my ribs collapse! It was uncomfortable and tight but it does give me a smooth hour glass shape… look sexy over clothes. So yes… my mom…

Weird

I am so tired… I have been going to bed 4 nights in a row and not remembering that I actually slept throughout the night! In fact I wake up every morning thinking to myself… “Shit…feels like I just slept like 5 minutes ago!!” But in actual fact I have been getting 6-8 hours sleep. Weird.

Besides not getting enough sleep, my social life is in the dumps! Due to my freaking, excessive, prolong detox diet (yes still on it) I have not gone out for happy hour in over a month!!!! What used to be my almost daily routine after work is now replaced by steaming veggies for dinner and watching Last Comic Standing! Weird.

I am in the process of transferring all my accounts to a new system… I was so excited at first…leaning about new things and all… NOW… I am just procrastinating…yet again! Weird.

Hubs is finally using Hylexin for his dark circles under his puffy eyes ( highly effective for me and my mom). I wanna turn hubs into a metro sexual man… I know… Weird!

My Almost Bottega Sunnies

I hate travelling for work… but there is nothing much I can do about it… people asked me if I like Hong Kong, I always tell them, I have not “seen” the city!!! Why? That is because most of the time I am in between the airport, my hotel room, and meeting rooms in 3 days! (Same goes for Bangkok)

So when do I get to shop? Duty free while waiting for my flight. Sad isn’t it? But this recent trip to Hong Kong… I manage to squeeze in one shop in between my meetings, and I manage to get just a purse to match my designer bag. Hubs was not happy…but I needed to treat myself something. Just one shop??!! I thought to myself never mind, I still have not raided the airport duty free shops… When I manage to raid the shops in the airport, I had only 30 minutes!!! Damn damn damn…I saw a Bottega sunglasses… oh so chic!!!! I must admit I look damn blardee good in it…BUT I did not buy it…NO TIME…the sales lady had to get the new one from another place and that would take up to 15 mins… AArggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…

Can you imagine the frustration!! I swear I could not sleep and sit still until today when I think of that particular sunnies… I SWEAR… I will get IT!!! Mark my words!!!!

My Baby Got A Boo Boo

I know I am not supposed to laugh at people that are in pain. But I can’t help it. Hubs walk into our house’s sliding door and WHAM BANG BANG!!! He walked into it… it was so loud that at first I thought he was being foolish, clowning around with me… so I did not bother much…continue smoking, then I realize it was for real… oh my poor baby… I laugh and then his nose started bleeding and I asked him to count my fingers… still ok… I iced his head, nose and lips ( all that drama in less that 10 seconds). Now he looks like Black- Chinese with puffy lips that match Angelina Jolie.

Poor Baby…Ha ha ha….

Monday Blue, Green, Red.....

Just when I thought my life will return to some normalcy after Bali, I was wrong… I fell sick and hubs thought I had Dengue fever! But thank God, the doc ruled that out… then hubs insisted I was allergic to work that is why I was sick…

So finally when I went back to work, my big boss is sending me to Hong Kong this week for 2 hectic days… 4 meetings in a day!! FANeffingTASTIC! And I was planning to colour my hair and go for a pedi and mani this weekend! Looks like its not happening now.

As for my weight… I did not put on or lose more…so now I am back on my detox yet again for 3 days this time. I seriously still need to lose 7 more kilos!

What I Am Reading

I have been back into my reading mode these few months and I have been spending a lot of $$ at Borders. Currently I am reading Eat, Love, Pray by Elizabeth Gilbert. I have started the first 12 Chapters and I am already in love with her writing. Her wits and self account of her life during her “lost” period…it was something else I have never read before. Can’t wait to go home and pick up the book and continue…

I Think I Am Sick...Dammit!!

I Did It!!

I lasted 1 week! It was good… I lost in total 4kgs! I was shocked…of cause with the lost of water and no protein and carbs…anyone would have lost weight! But bottom-line is that I FEEL GOOD!!!

The 1st day was really hard… I was constantly hungry and thirsty and my body went into shock, craving for salty, sugary foods and caffeine!!! I felt light headed and tired and grumpy. By lunch time, I felt like giving up! But I did not!

On the 2nd day, I felt the same as the 1st day… but by the 3rd day into my detox, I felt lighter and not hungry and my cravings had disappeared! I sat through lunch with my colleagues who were enjoying their nasi kandar and I felt nothing!! Ha ha ha!!

By the last day, which was yesterday. I felt good and decided to extend my detox plan to 10 days!

So hopefully I will be able to continue to the 10th day. I am beginning to see the results… besides my weight dropping, I am more alert, energized and my skin seems to glow!

After feeling this fantastic, I am changing my eating habits… I am going to cut my meals smaller and eat frequently, cut down on alcohol *GASP* my cut down on alcohol ha ha ha…but yes I will consume less alcohol, stay off fast food, eat more fresh fruits and veggies.

OK… I survive half the day… SUPER hungry… been drinking herbal tea and water the whole day, eating apples and grapes… I am still hungry!! I MUST persevere

Drastic Measures

Last night, hubs dated me to Waka at City Bayview Hotel for Japanese dinner. Wanted to look nice la…I BLARDEE spend 1 freaking hour looking for something to wear… looking for something that actually FITS my big B and B!!! It was so sad, depressing… 90% of my clothes I realize I could not fit into it. I was super frustrated!

I have gone to my lymphatic massage for almost 2 weeks now… no result… so I am taking the drastic action by going on a detox program. The plan is to take 2 sachet of this fiber drink 3 times a day replacing the main meals and snack on fruits and veggies in between for SEVEN days!!! This will cleanse my system of all the toxic and hopefully the lymphatic massage would aid.

My problem? Can I actually last 7 days without proper food, alcohol and ciggies? Do I have that willpower to actually complete the whole program? Does it work?

My Failed Online Shopping

Spend 2 days browsing through ASOS again thanks to Karen for her post on it (she has great taste!), had my shopping sidekick Joey all the way in Singapore, plotting and planning what should we get to share the shipping cost! We manage to pick up lotsa nice looking clothes and shoes and when we were about to make out purchases, it does not bloody deliver to Malaysia!!! WTF!!

So PANIC LA…but then ah-ha we could ship it to Joey’s house in Singapore BUT both our credit cards are from Malaysia…and the billing address must be the same as our credit card address…Once again… we were defeated dammit!!

Who FAILS is shopping?? WHO?? TELL ME WHO?? I hate it…I mean what is wrong delivering it to Malaysia… it is like next to Singapore! I suspect is our Pos Malaysia… slackers!!!

Hubs was happy that I did not manage to splurge… it would have been costly…ha ha ha…knowing me… So… I am super keduper upset… I need more online shopping sites that actually deliver to Malaysia!!

So for those who ASOS actually deliver to... please buy something... please.... if I can't get it someone have to!!!!

Never mind… I will take that $$ and go to Bali next month!!! Yay!!!

Officially Fat

I am officially FAT! HHmmmm…signs?

1. Random people coming up to me and touch my belly and ask me how far I am from giving birth!
2. I realized that I have been wearing the same “baju” that only fits me.
3. I realized all my clothes is loose fitting.
4. I look like “char koey teow” aunty.
5. Hubs had finally told me that me legs and calves looks bigger (SHOCKER!!!)
6. I cannot look myself at the mirror without feeling yuckie bout my appearance.

I think it’s a rude awakening when people think I just gave birth or I am pregnant whn in fact I AM NOT! Plus hubs saying something about my legs. Sooooo… I have decided to do something about it… diet? Nopes… can’t work…I am such a food person!! I will eat less and be pickier and I will resume my lymphatic massage (which absolutely hurts!!!!!!) It did work before my wedding which I lost 10kgs… then I gain all back plus a few more… so I think it will work again! POSITIVE THINKING…POSITIVE THINKING!! I CAN DO IT…I MUST DO IT!!!

Once Every 5 Years...

2. My Australian PR Visa expires
3. My Passport expires

So my passport expires and once again I have to drag my ass to the Immigration Department to get a new passport done. This time around I am doing a 64 pages passport rather then the 32 pages.

Woke up late and I thought I will do it next week (I am the GREAT procrastinator), not until my mom called me up and told me sarcastically how RESPONSIBLE I was!! OK guilt trip!!

Had a quick shower and out the door…by the time I reach the Department, it was like 10am… thanks to the many rounds I made to look for a blardee parking spot!

Got my number (thank GOD!!) and waited…and waited… 1074 was my number…got called up…and I had a very weird and frustrating conversation with the officer.

Officer: Cik, nak buat passport 64 muka surat? (Miss, you want to make a 64 page passport?)
Me: Ya (Yes)
Officer: Pasti?? ( Sure??)
Me: Ya. Mengapa? (Yes. Why?)
Officer: Mungkin passport tak boleh siap hari ini kerana itu machine susah nak laminate 64 mukasurat. (There is a possibility it cannot be done today and its difficult to laminate 64 pages)
Me: Isn’t it the same? (yes my Malay is very bad! I can only carry basic conversation)
Officer: Ya it’s same. You cuba datang balik petang, mungkin boleh. Urgent kah passport. (You can try to come back in the afternoon and see if it is ready. Is it urgent?)
Me: YES IT’S URGENT, I NEED IT TODAY!!
Officer: Cuba la!! Mengapa tak mahy buat 32 mukasurat? (Will try la…why don’t you make 32 pages instead?)
Me: Because I travel banyak! (Because I travel a lot!)
Officer: OK OK …I cuba (Ok Ok I will try)

WTF!!

P/S: Just went to get my passport and realised that the officer's meaning of laminate is actually binding of the passport pages...not laminate the passport pages... No wonder I was finding for laminated part of the passport! BODOH!!!

Shiok Sendiri

OK…so our wedding was like ages ago… ancient history… everyone had forgotten bout it rite… (Except my parents in law who is still talking about it until today…)

Besides being featured in a Singapore bridal magazine, we also got a 2 page feature in Bridal Guide Malaysia Vol:6, and that was last year! I got a call from my ex-wedding planners last week and now our pictures are again on weddingsmalaysia 2008 and The Hip List!

SOoooo, upon hearing this… I forced hubs to drive me to Borders to get the magazine… no luck…sold out…then I went to MPH also the same… I was so desperate to see it, I called a very very sweet friend and father to be to get me the magazines… after looking for it at a few places, he found it! Then out conversation was something like this (not accurately word by word la)

Me: So…did you get it DID YOU???
FTB (father to be): yes… I did…limpeh went to so many places for you for you ONLY!!!
Me: Thanks…so got our faces ah?
FTB: Got la… but so small only
ME: I shiok sendiri mah!
FTB: Wah very expensive loh to shiok sendiri!!!

Talk about DESPRERATION … YES I HAVE NO SHAME!!! hahahahaha

I did not VOTE… because I did not REGISTER myself to vote… I got hounded by people who think I wasted my vote and with my vote I would have had a voice.

HEYYWWLLLOOOOOO…I do blardee have a voice… (damn loud also!) SO WHAT! I did not register and did not vote… OK DAD… I will promise to register sometime between now and the next 4 years to vote… I will stand in line at the post office to fill in some form to vote… I will exercise my rights… ALL OF THIS because I have a lot of comments on the election ha ha ha…but did not vote….ha ha ha… basically I am like kapster! ) I talk too much!)

Still feeling zombified by all the time difference, but am getting the hang of it. I don’t think I want to go through it anytime soon… it really screws up the whole system!

I will not bore you guys and my future self by going on and on about what we did from day one, I will just highlight some interesting thoughts on the trip!

Drama with the Homeland Security
When we landed in San Francisco after 12 hours of flight, I was felling super blur…did not manage to get any sleep at all!! So much for being blur I actually spend a long time at immigration not because I was a suspected terrorist but because the scanner could not read my fingerprints!!! WHY?? After many attempts, we realised my fingers were so dry that it reader would not pick up my prints… but the super sweet immigration lady offered me hand lotion ha ha ha… yups it did work after that!

Viva Las Vegas!!!
*jaws dropping* was the reaction the minute I was standing on “The Strip”! The lights… the crowd, the slot machines, the shows (Bette Midler was plying at The Mirage!!) MY GOD!!! We stayed at the Venetian and the suite was super duper ke-duper fantastic!!!! And the Grand Canyon, the stretch limousine…the helicopter…aaahhhh the life… I cannot describe it, just view my photos!!!

NEW YORK!!!! NEW YORK!!!!!!
Snowing!!! Superb!! I LOVE CENTRAL PARK!!! I was freezing my ass off…but the city was oh- so pretty (but dirty)…everything was white and I even experience flurries!!! So cute cute as a button rabbit fur white… ok just cute.

Things that I don’t get:
How do Americans drink coffee?
I realise one thing… Americans do not I repeat DO NOT know how to drink coffee for shit!!!… I am sorry if anyone disagree with me, but it is so diluted!!! Taste like longkang water (drain water). Even their Starbucks coffee is super diluted… I am saying this based on the 3 states I’ve visited and every time I order a strong coffee it comes back like 1 teaspoon of Nescafe in 1 litre of water!!! SOOOOO hubs and I started ordering Espresso and a hot cup of water to make Long Black. Seriously they do not know what is long black and their Americano is longkang water!!! How to drink LAH!!!!!! I was so disappointed… Melbourne’s coffee ROCKS!!!!

Yes tipping is mandatory!! No SHIT!!! Super annoying and they put it in a nice word GRATUITY!

They cannot take sarcastic jokes (even not directed at them)…helloooo…where is your sense of humour?? New Yorkers please take a chill pill… (and clean up your city!!!) It smells of pee, yes even on the exclusive 5th Avenue.

Funny and Scary Jet Blue Pilot and Crew
So we were taking JetBlue, the local budget airline from Las Vegas to New York, and the pilot was telling us that there is a massive snow storm in New York and that is why we were delayed and we were lucky our flight was not cancel and he told us that they had put on extra fuel in case we can’t land! All that is a chirpy voice!! Pretty amazing… I had a good laugh and was wondering how on earth we are going to land with all the snow in New York! But the pilot did well!!!

The 3-1-1
Yes the 3-1-1 security system at the airport. It just freaks me out! I went through it without any problems but I cannot help but feel like I have done something wrong! Like any minute they will pounce on me!!


Giant SUPER Premium Factory Outlets
Yes I don’t get it… because I am just amazed at the prices!! SOOOOO cheap comparing to what we get is Asia… We went to factory outlets in San Fran, Las Vegas and New York and it was like I have died and gone to heaven!!! The Coach bags were like our Bonia bags!!! Super cheap!! AND…(drum roll please!!!) I bought my Bottega Veneta bag!!!! My life is complete!!! Ok not really complete...but for that moment lah!

Blogging at The Pier

I better put in an entry before I leave for San Francisco in 2 hours time and before I am took knock out with alcohol and melatonin. Rite now, the family is chilling in the Cathay Pacific Lounge in Hong Kong. Techinically, we just finish 1 quarter of our journey, still have about 12 hours of flight! I seriously do not know how to survive it, but if I do... then yay for me!!

OK... I wanna go have a shower, put on my comfy trackie bottoms and a big sweatshirt (yes bag-lady look!) and try and eat something and poo something before 'THE" flight!

Yes I am a wuss... I hate flying... the end...

Hope to get a few entris when I am in the land of freedom!

I am suppose to buy hubs a super expensive NIKON camera lens for his D70 or D80 and he was suppose to buy me a pair of diamond earrings which I have been asking for ages!!

But…at the end…nothing… ha ha ha… talk about sad!! Ha ha ha…the funny thing about it is that we don’t even celebrate Valentines!! Ha ha ha… so stupid…

OK… I need to find something to eat… yes I am still sick…coughing my guts out and my nose is literally running!!!

Last few weeks were SUPER KE-DUPER CRAZY!!!

1. Stupid U.S. visa mixed up - finally got that fixed...

2. CNY in KL - cannot hog the PC so cannot blog :( , had Brothers & Sisters Season 1 marathon thus hoggin the TV

3. Non-Stop gambling! - won money!!!

4. I got SICK and IS STILL SICK!!! - I am swearing off Mandarin oranges!!!

5. My parents Chinese New Year open house (or what my friends called it - FUN FAIR!) - I call it chaos.

6. I have been sober and nicotine free for 1 week, why? Sick La!!- dammit!

7. Will be travelling in 3 days time and am still SICK!- so dead!

Coming to AMEDIKA (America)

Hubs and I finally got our U.S. Visa 10 freaking years!!! Ha ha ha...long and painful process but we have gotten over that… long because we have to wait 2 hours before being interview by the officer. Painful cause I compiled all supporting documents for the interview and the officer could not be bothered!

Thought it was all over Q-ing up and all… until yesterday after coming back from KL, we realize that hubs visa under gender he was a FEMALE!!! Ha ha ha….after all the teasing and laughing subdue we realize SHIT! He will not be able to enter the States with a visa error. JADI (so) we would have to go back to KL this coming Monday to get it fixed! STUPID!

Anyhoos… dramas dramas…we are heading to the States on Valentines Day! I am very excited over it but not looking forward for the long haul flight to the other side of the world! I got so many things I wanna see and do. First things first, I have to eat at Morton’s Steakhouse! And get my Bottega bags and many many more things…aahhhh and ride in a helicopter over the Grand Canyon and aahhh stay at Caesars Palace, Times Square, 5th Avenue, Golden Gate Bridge, Central Park!!!!! Am going to go crazy!!!

My Heroes Marathon

OK…so what if I suffer from numerous addictions…Facebook, updating my blog and my latest, coffee…chasing Heroes Season 1.

I got the DVDs last week… and I told myself that I will not and must not finish it in a week… I have to spread out the episodes like maybe 2 episodes in a week… BUT!!! Knowing me… I finished it in 2 days…yes…I am guilty…I have no will power… I am greedy…impatience…IT WAS SUPER EXCITING!!!

My episodes chasing this time is not as bad as the last time I was chasing a Korean drama “Winter Sonata” That I finished in 3 days…poor hubs, he had to put up with many of my s**t during that marathon…burnt lunches and dinners, me crying most of the time, talking to myself, stench from my body for not changing out from my PJs in 3 days and the constants update on what is going on.

This time around, I am more composed, I made sure there is proper lunch and dinner (not burnt mind you!), I did the laundry, mop the floor, bathe and I change my clothes and wash my hair!

I know I am like super slow… millions of people have already finish Season 1 and is starting Season 2.

My favorite hero is Hiro… I find him absolutely adorable and optimistic despite being responsible for “saving the cheerleader, save the world”

Anyhoos, I wish I was addicted to work!

I think …no… not think…I AM addicted to Facebook! The very first thing I do in the morning when I come into the office is to log into Facebook… what has gotten into me??? Too free?? aarrgghhhhh

That cruel thing online… I have abandoned my Friendster… I tell you Facebook adds on to my procrastination!!

Just A Piece Of Meat

I am hungry!

Sooooo…I am going to talk about Kobe Beef. Kobe beef is actually meat from the black Tajima-ushi breed of Wagyu cattle, raised according to strict tradition in Japan. This practice includes feeding the cows a diet of sake and beer, and daily massages to relieve muscle stiffness. Basically… a “tai tai” (lady of leisure)/ “tauke” cow.

This would then result in super expensive price for well feed, well massaged piece of meat. Actually people rave about the tenderness of Kobe beef, the well balance fat content that melts in your mouth and so on.

Would I actually pay exorbitant amount of $$ just to taste Kobe Beef? NOPES!!! But my Dad did!!! He bought us Japanese dinner last weekend and on the table was KOBE BEEF!!! RM140 per 100 grams! Crazy!

Verdict…. It was superb! Oh so tender…the fat is actually soft and not chewy and it melts… the smell of the beef was not strong and OH MY GOD!!! It was heaven…

For those who are not into red meat… I can be seen as a nut case… its just a bloody piece of meat… but let me tell you… this is no fillet mignon… this is on another league of its own!!!

So after having the super ex and a superb piece of meat… I will just leave it till the next time some kind soul to buy me Kobe beef again… It’s just to expensive for me… I will settle for a normal piece of beef.

Another another Death

OK… I think the month of January year 2008 is cursed! It’s the 3rd death, our cousin Pat just pass away this morning!

Whatever

I am having dinner with a bunch of old old men! My loving Dad is dragging me to have dinner with some of Penang’s most influential businessmen… why? cause he thinks I need to know more successful old people than useless snobbish yuppies! Basically he wants to motivate me to make more money! WHATEVER!

Sooo…I am dragging hubs along… poor guy…he he he

His Royal Ugliness

I have told my Dad many many times, not to feed His Majesty Scottie Meow “human food” Why? cause his skin will itch and he will start scratching and then his skin will be infected.

But NOOOOO…Dad always feeds Scottie the best part of meat, veggies, fruits, chocolates, fish, prawns…whatever that Scottie wants except his cardboard dried dog food. (Actually I have tasted it before… I understand why Scottie hates it!)

Last week, poor Scottie was itching mad… and Mom took him to the vet yesterday and voila… food allergies… Dad says it wasn’t him…the maids said it wasn’t them… he must have eaten off from either, Bronzie’s bowl or Dexter and Dee Dee’s bowl…

Consequences…a few jabs and this….

SO UGLY!!! The vet shaved off all his hair!!!He looks like that ugly Chinese dog… (dunno what it’s called). Scottie got upset when I teased him… at the end of the photo session he just walked away and sulked at one corner refuse to answer me! Ha ha ha…

He is still our baby in the family...no matter how he looks like!!

I am such a shopaholic… why? I just bought 2 dresses off the net… I NEVER DO SUCH THINGS!!! But I did it!

I was browising through Karen’s Blog and her recent entry was a review on the dresses she got from fashionJunkee… so…click click I went… and by the end of 2 hours… I was typing in my credit card number! Brilliant! Now I hope the dresses reaches me in one piece and that it fits me!
