The Man in My Life: My Hubs

I realize I have been ignoring the fact that the most important person in my life is not only my parents, it is also my hubby… what will I ever do without him…yes sometimes he can be very irritating, annoying, immature, moody, the list goes on…but then again…this fellow makes me laugh while irritating me, and always keep me grounded (I love to build castles in the air…yes directly above my head!!!) and I know he loves me dearly…this is our short story…

We met while we were studying in Melbourne. It was his 1st year in our Uni and it was my last semester for me. That semester, I kept hearing about this Mr. Casanova (oohhh) and he is new to our campus and all girls would just fall on their feet for him! So I was interested to know who is he and what is so great about this new guy on campus. When finally I manage to meet him in one of our Student Union Pub Nite’, I was just sitting and chatting with some friends when I saw this guy with a really nice and perky butt playing pool, not bad looking…a friend of mine told me that was Mr. Casanova!!! Then I wanted to be introduced to him ASAP! ( I was desperate!) That is how I met Jack the Casanova! He was shy when we were introduced not the smooth talking or playboy type. We hit it off immediately, and the best part of it was he made me laugh after a long time as I was in a state of depression after coming out from a failed relationship, swearing that I will never be serious with another man again! He was very genuine from the very start. We were basically inseparable since the minute we met until today, literally!

I realize when I fell in love with him was when made me feel secure again. What made the deal was when he met my parents and whole family for the first time by the bus load in Melbourne and he hit it off with every single one of them, from young to old and he did not run for his life! And I realize that I am going to make him take me as his wife was when he decided to move to Penang and live with me!!! (what a big sacrifice…love my in laws for being so understanding!!!)

What can I say? I thank God everyday for bringing him to me…I pray that I am a fantastic wife, lover and friend to him as he is to me…

My Ex Boy Friend's Wedding

Finally my ex-bf who is also my ex housemate got married... so bloody happy for him...seriously!! We never tot he would actually tie the know but he did... at the age of...lets put it -LATE!!! Just looking at him made me smile...its like he is all grown up!! hahahaha...it was an excellent weekend, getting to meet all my ex uni mates for the first time after almost 7 years!!! I LOVE WEDDINGS!!!!

What a perfect start to the week with a gloomy Monday!!! 1st of all…It’s a freaking MONDAY!!! And then my office called me and told me that during the weekend, it was flooded cause the stupid office pipe is leaking!!!!

For the last few Wednesdays, we have been clubbing for a good cause… hahaha…what a joke…actually we were frequenting MoMo to watch the heats for Ms Tourism Penang 2007 organized by Lions Club of Bayan Baru in aid of the Building Fund for Wen Khai Chinese School. Whatever the reason is…it’s good to be out during midweek… it sort of speeds up the entire week…hahaha…I must say the contestants gets better each week (must be the amount of alcohol that we consume!)…well…what do u expect from state level beauty pageant? I know these girls have guts to stand up there and be criticize by the public…bravo!!! Neewayssss…manage to take some pics to share…By the way…Jeddah rocks!!

Does That Make Us Celebrities?...

You would not believe this!! I did not… hahaha… our wedding was featured in a Singaporean bridal magazine; Style Weddings, Singaporean Edition. Wah…hubby thinks he is a celebrity now…I told him to dream on…

Must be wondering how we got featured…well a good friend of mine from Singapore asked me how much I paid!!!??? Hahaha…well honestly we did not pay a cent… it just so happen we met the Editor of Style Weddings during our honeymoon in Maldives and he was interested in writing a page ‘bout our wedding…yadda… yadda… yadda…we thought aiyah nothing one…they would not put us in some glossy magazine…whatdayafu**ing know…hehehehe… actually kinda proud…so all our money was not totally wasted…at least Patrick (my fantastic wedding photographer) got some publicity…

This Week’s Obsession

I think I am the sort of person who gets obsess with something and will pursue it for lets say 1 week... 3 weeks...or maybe max 2 months and then...wham!!! I find something else... Most people call that “hangat- hangat tahi ayam”. I call it variety in life.

For example...at this point I am into reading my novels (I have a on and off relationship with books)... Always love reading but then it only last after I finish one book or two, and I move to something else...at this moment Borders is my favorite hangout after work... I dragged hubby there last nite...AND... Nopes he was not impress at all... In fact he looked "lost" in Borders. You see; he does not fancy reading...the most reading he has ever done is manuals...yes he loves reading those tacky manuals...come on… who reads manuals?? Unless one is confuse on how to record using the DVD player...besides that who on earth reads the manual?! Yups my hubby does!

My current “intellectual” reading happens to be the Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella...trust me...it is hilarious… I would never have known that the lead character in the book shares the same passion as me and I suppose with millions of other women around the world: SHOPPING…but the fact that Becky Bloomwood’s thoughts when making a purchase is exactly the same as mine… rationalizing on our “needs” and “wants”; and always end up buying no matter what. If it is a “want” then it would be called an “investment”! hehehehe… And how I am always distracted when all I want to get from the mall is a pair of silver shoes and ended up buying everything else but the silver shoes!! (still looking for a pair of killer silver heels!!)

IT’S AFTER LUNCH AND I AM BORED!!!! I hate Mondays... I am seriously bored... I am thinking; do I have any work outstanding which is overdue?? Urrmmm... yay!! For once in a long long time, I am actually up to date with my work...which only means I can procrastinate :)

2 1/2 hours more... should I go get a manicure and pedi after work?? or should I go for a swim? It has been such a long long time since I actually exercise... maybe a swim will do me good... but then my swimmers don’t really fit anymore... it looks too old... maybe I should go to Gurney or Queensbay to get a new one... a practical black swimmers would be good... that means I would not be able to go swimming today... and tomorrow also...tomorrow is facial-after-work day... maybe I will start on Wednesday...but then its the middle of the week...see how la... I am so lazy!! I need to find something to do (apart from work)… help needed…

Friday @ Soho

I think my drinking days are back...fantastic!!! lets see...
3-4 times a week, I am drinking...either at home or at some club or pub...our weekly Happy Hour has now moved on to nights drinking Beer at Soho, Wine at Bagan, and Black Label at Momo... how healthy!!! Oh did I mention that we have resume our singing session last Saturday till 4am!!! How totally sore our throats are at this point of time!

How the hell am I suppose to lose weight with all the alcohol I have been putting into by body...not to forget the amount of nicotine!! But hey....u only live once...so why not live it to the fullest!! I am not an alcoholic rite? I do not have the symptoms... btw...what are the symptoms of an alcoholic? Denial? I am always contradicting myself!! *sigh*

My Penang Gals!

My girlfrens, my "sistas"; Sylvia and Debi have been with me since gosh 9 years old? Yups!!! Almost 20 years we have been friends… even longer than me and my hubby!!! We have been through ups and downs… but somehow we are all different people… Sylvia is the cautious, wise one and Debs the one where her mouth can’t stop eating or talking. We grew up lepaking at KOMTAR…then moved on to One-Stop during our high school to college years. Sneaking out, coming back early in the morning, lying for each other…the things that normal rebellious, boy crazy teenage girls do! FUN!!!

First let me introduce Ms. Debi P. Let see at school she sits behind me and we were the noise of the class… always finding excuses to get out of classes…our main reason “Mrs. Lee the Guider wants to see us!” hahahaha… Debs @ Him Heang @ Taugeh is what we usually call her…speaks her mind…literally…she is never afraid to stand up for her own rights or anyone’s rights! No wonder she is in law… perfect line for her… one would only find her quiet is when she is sleeping or eating… did I mention eating is one of her favorite hobby apart from shopping!

Next we have Ms.Sylvia L. who has the sweetest smile…she is one who shares the passion for alcohol with me… yup...this woman can hold he booze!! This one is special… this one very obliging…she is a great listener…no wonder she can tahan me and debs…yak yak yak all the time!!! But one thing…Via @ Black Monkey @ Hippo (Gloria) is forever and ever LATE!!!! She will never be on time…never!!! since young…and until now is she is on time please go buy 4D!!!! ha ha ha ha….
