I never tought that I will ask myself this question.

A new Chanel bag or IVF?

I have invested in many Chanel babies so now I guess I have to go with a real life one.

So I am giving up the latest bag. DUH!!

Yes it sounds crazy... a bag cost the same as a test tube baby. The more I think about it the more weird it becomes.

How can a person compare a bag to a baby... technically both have something in common, one is a designer bag and the other is a designer baby.

Just something to ponder.

The One With Not One But Four and A Half Bags

I am guilty! 

I feel guilty for OVER indulging in my hobby of collecting bags!

On my recent trip to Hong Kong, I contributed to their country's economy and yes, hubs once again was not a happy man cause there is no longer anymore space to store my growing collection of bags. We are actually fighting for space as he is now collecting Star Wars die cast models. To date he has 70 models at home!!! I seriously think he is getting back at me for all my bag purchases in these recent years. Thank GOD we are moving to a bigger place... if not one day either I will find my Chanel in the shoe room or he will find his precious Tie Fighter in the laundry room.

To tempt all the bag lovers, this PS1 in olive green was added into my collection. Isn't it absolutely chic?

The One With The Birthday Gifts

Just got back from Bangkok and I was kinda proud with myself when I did not buy anything "major" until I reach the airport!

After the passport clearence and the custom scanning I knew Chanel was in front...so I told myself ok I will just go in and have a look at the Chanel Coco Cocoon collection. I was very dissapointed with it.... hubs said it look like a bag made out of diaper and for almost RM4k for a nylon bag/pillow he rather shoot himself! (the lambskin was about RM8k ) I have to agree with him on that!

So as I thank the girls for showing my the collection my eyes aimed in on a really cute black classic 2.55 long clutch and the red classic flap in pleated calfskin from the fall/winter 09/10 collection . Mom loved the clutch and I loved the red bag...so wihtout thinking too much, I took out my credit card and ask the girls to wrap up the two cute bags and called my dad to thank him for the gifts to me and mom on his birthday! My dad did not say anything and just ask me nice or not... of coz I said nice la!!! ( such a fashionista) Hubs on the otherhand  was  NOT impressed AT ALL!!!

 

Breaking Up Is Hard To Do

This morning....hubby slap me with my credit card bill!!

It was a SLAP indeed... I have took my shopping overboard and its only in Penang!! wtf rite...what can a person buy in Penang?? There is nothing!!! But within a month I manage to collect a lot of credit card points.

So I had to do the unthinkable...

I had to BREAKUP with my shopping partner (in-crime)

Mind you, it was not easy...

Me: Debs... I have to stop shopping with you d...my credit card bill came
Debs: How much?? ARE YOU BREAKING UP WITH ME??!!
Me: A LOT DEBS!!! About RM xxxx plus!!!
Yes, I am breaking up with you...I am so sorry....
You have to look for another shopping partner
Debs: (sobs uncontrollably) I am going to Hong Kong

She has already forgot that I dump her. *sigh*

Chloe Paraty Bag

Katie Holmes latest "IT" bag (Chloe Paraty Bag in Black Python leather) that she has been spotted repeatedly carrying around! Isn't it absolutely amazing...rocker meets chic....chic rock?!

Looks like a sturdy carry-all. You can either sling it on your shoulder or tote it around. VERSATILE and ROOMY! My kinda bag!

So while I was in Bangkok last weekend and as I was walking pass Chloe...I SAW THE BAG...perch on top on a shelve beckoning for me to come in and touch it... SO...I mah go in loh!!! The sales lady in Chloe was absolutely one of the nicest "luxury" shop assistant I ever met... including those in Marc Jacobs, Mulberry (Tods was a bit "lansi") and Balenciaga.

Ok back to the bag, she took it down for me and it was LOVE AT FIRST TOUCH....actually it was already love at first sight but the touch of the soft leather confirmed it was true love (AGAIN!)

So as usual I ask for the price... she immediately told me it's 10% off and extra 7% tax redemption at the Customs! That is a total of almost 20% of savings!! Ok 17% only niah!(Coz it was Mother's Day and Wesak Day Weekend!) I looked at hubs, he turned away giving me the "look" and so we parted...(me and the bag) - SOB *heart cringe and torned* - damn I am "gila" max! And it was the last Red Paraty Bag in Bangkok and I left it there on not in my arms!

Fast forward back to Penang, a quick msg to my evil shopaholic twin and she told that the bag was worth it and in demand and there is a shortage and the colour RED was a HOT item! I was sold! A quick call and msg to my mom (who was still in Bangkok) and task her to check it out! Mom did check it out alright but knowing her she would not pay for the bag...BUT she DID!!! I mean if my dad was there then i was certain he will spoil me again with a new bag... but MOM!! I was shocked!

So there you have it... the newest edition to my family of bags: Chloe Paraty Bag in red leather with gold metalworks.

P/S: I admit...I feel absolutely guilty that I am SOOOO Spoilt!!!!

I finally got the bag today when my parents came home last night... and when I open the oh-so-pretty packaging...my heart went like *thump thump thump* and I got another surprise... they got me the matching purse!!!

And I tought it was an April Fool's joke! Sigh...my parents can be darlings sometimes!

Still In Battle

So many of my readers were so concern over my "upset-ness" over the last few days.... many called, messaged, berried me asking what was wrong ( thank you ladies!!!!)

Till today the "cold war" is still going on... I cannot believe I can be so upset for so many days...kinda think of it I forgot what was the cause of this "war". But I guess both are not speaking cause both have huge ego! :( which is bad...

3 days and counting... BUT one thing managed to lift my spirits... I am getting my new LV Mini Lin from my friend today... such a sweetie helping me buy the bag ( knowing my hubs would go ballistic!!!) So at least some shopping helped! It's like I am getting a certain high from it and other smaller purchases!! :)

2.55 : A Fashion Icon

I have "partially" arrived at the high fashion status!( Will be full fledged when I own a Birkin and a Kelly) I finally owned a classic black Chanel 2.55!!! How in the world did this happen!! Simple... Hubby! My treat for 2009!

When he saw it at the window display I asked him if it was nice, and knowing him, he hates me buying bags he said it was very nice indeed and asked if I wanted to go in and have a look! HELL YA!!!In we go and when he nodded "yes" to get the bag I was in bag heaven floating and trust me until now I still have not touch the ground...pinching myself every second!I am still all tingling from the touch and the smell of the fine calf leather and the exquisite stitching.

There are people out there who would not agree with the purchase and would think that with the amount of $$ spend on the bag it can be put to a better use. I AGREE but in my (weak) defense its a BLOODY 2.55!!! A True Fashion Icon.

Estee Lauder Model Seach 2008

Had a bonding session with mom last Saturday. I dragged her and my little cousin sister to QB Mall for the Estee Lauder Model Search 2008! Yes I feel we all have the model quality …ha ha ha… SOOO just because we did not want to draw a lot of crowd while doing the make over, we went to the mall at 10am!!!...Usually I will still be snoozing at home, but in the name of beauty, I manage to wake up!

We started with make up, my make up artist was super keduper nice, think her name was Rainne (pronounce Re-nee or Rain-nee), she gave me fantastic sexy smoldering sexy sexy kaboom smoky eyes and kept everything else minimal. LOVE IT!!! I wanna pack her up in my bag and take her home! Then I was moved to the hair station, the stylist ask me what I wanted… so I told her I wanted a quiff, she did something else… equally as fantastic as my make up!!! I LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!! I look super super gorgeous!!! ( REMEMBER I HAVE NO SHAME!!!)

THEN….I went to get my clothes styled by eclipse…I love their clothes… the stylist gave me a jersey gold/beige toga type dress that I refuse to take off after the photo shoot…LOVE IT TO BITS!!! THEN …it was photo shoot time… the photographer was so nice and made me relax and the whole experience was nice! So snap snap snap… think bout 20 odd shots and I was sent to pick my photo to submit for the model search… I tell you, I wanna learn to touch up photos… before and after… a lot of difference!! Ha ha ha… but still can tell it was me la.

Mom and Adelin looks good… think Adelin got model quality…very photogenic… as for mom… she looks classy for her age… and me… what can I say… ha ha ha… I will post up some pics when I get the dvd…I KNOW I AM VAIN!!! But seriously… it was not about joining the model search, it was more about dressing up and getting everything done LIKE what a model would go through. FUN!

SO… if by any MIRACLE, any of us get picked up as a semi finalist…please please…I beg u!!! Vote for us!!!!

My Failed Online Shopping

Spend 2 days browsing through ASOS again thanks to Karen for her post on it (she has great taste!), had my shopping sidekick Joey all the way in Singapore, plotting and planning what should we get to share the shipping cost! We manage to pick up lotsa nice looking clothes and shoes and when we were about to make out purchases, it does not bloody deliver to Malaysia!!! WTF!!

So PANIC LA…but then ah-ha we could ship it to Joey’s house in Singapore BUT both our credit cards are from Malaysia…and the billing address must be the same as our credit card address…Once again… we were defeated dammit!!

Who FAILS is shopping?? WHO?? TELL ME WHO?? I hate it…I mean what is wrong delivering it to Malaysia… it is like next to Singapore! I suspect is our Pos Malaysia… slackers!!!

Hubs was happy that I did not manage to splurge… it would have been costly…ha ha ha…knowing me… So… I am super keduper upset… I need more online shopping sites that actually deliver to Malaysia!!

So for those who ASOS actually deliver to... please buy something... please.... if I can't get it someone have to!!!!

Never mind… I will take that $$ and go to Bali next month!!! Yay!!!

I am such a shopaholic… why? I just bought 2 dresses off the net… I NEVER DO SUCH THINGS!!! But I did it!

I was browising through Karen’s Blog and her recent entry was a review on the dresses she got from fashionJunkee… so…click click I went… and by the end of 2 hours… I was typing in my credit card number! Brilliant! Now I hope the dresses reaches me in one piece and that it fits me!

And The Marathon Continues....

So... nothing to do...I got my mom into the car and we went shopping again... I have to suck out all her $$ for shopping before she leaves... I LOVE MY MOM...ha ha ha...

Its so nice having my mom to buy things for me...feels like when I was studying... hahahaha not using my own money!!!

Remember about my weakness for MIDAS shoes? hah!!! I got it... sooo effing happy... mom did not utter a word...cause it wa sooooooooo nice... *bliss*

The Start Of My Shopping Marathon

The bi-annual Melbourne shopping has started for me… many thanks to mom! We were supposed to go into Chady to get bee pollen from GNC…who knows we got totally sidetrack… MIDAS is having sale and I saw the most adorable pair of peep toe wedge heels in blue gray!!! Damn mom would not let me near it… *sigh* I will go back this weekend, and if it meant to be mine it will be…muahahahahaha…so evil…

So no shoes…but we went crazy in other stores… and its good shopping with my old lady…hehehehe…
