Update!

We have finally moved into our new home! But we still got lots to do...oh joy!

I missed the old place A LOT!

One thing I missed at the old place is NO mossies!!!! Seriously, living on landed house you with a garden in a tropical country is no joke... I have a variety of ants crawling, bugs, mosquitoes, spiders and CICAKS!!!! Loads of them! I try to keep them out of the house, so far so good.

I missed the view at The View...yes I missed sitting on the balcony and looking out at the night view of the Penang Bridge and the sea....

I missed cleaning a SMALL house! At this point, I am getting my mom's maid in to clean... I tried mopping 3 floors plus stairs and I was exhausted! And not to mention cleaning the garden, patio, balcony and car porch. Seriously no joke! I have not even started on the windows!!!

I missed proper rubbish collection. I don't think much about who collects my rubbish as long as at the end of the day my rubbish is collected. Well that was when we were living at the View ( the cleaners collect the rubbish TWICE a day!!) Now, I have to chase the rubbish truck and sometimes I have to leave my garbage door open so they can see that I have rubbish in the garbage "room". Oh how exciting *rolls eyes*

So dramatic rite??!!

Despite all that, I am loving the new house. I have a proper huge ass kitchen! (with Astro Beyond!)  Hubs and I no longer fights on who watches what. My bags have proper storage and my laundry room is no longer a corner!
I have a proper dressing room and hubs Star Wars collection is all in a room dedicated for it.

Next up... planning for a house warming and hoping for a baby :)

The One With The Countdown

The countdown to "moving day" has begun... Many things around the new house is not yet done to my expectations...am I freaking out?... a bit...but I think I will freak out more if by next Friday they do not handover the house to us!

In the mean time, I will go get myself a hot stone massage and a nice long facial and maybe slip in pedicure and manicure this weekend in hopes that my stress level will remain controllable and also before I start "killing" people with my words.

Professionalism in tradesmen in Penang or maybe even the whole of Malaysia is dead. Either that or my expectations are super high.But I guess as time goes by, things will change and please do change for the better. 

14 days left...tick tock...tick tock....

The One With The Boxes

We are moving to our new house by the end of next week and this time around... I think I am more composed comparing to when we first move into our current condo. I guess maybe our new contractor/project manager/ID is much better and the tradesmen are also MUCH better.

BUT, being me, I will always be nit picking on every single thing and calling the project manager like 20 times a day! But overall I am not as stressed up...YET...so I hope my claws won't come out... I seriously do not want to hurt anyone :)

Last weekend was basically spend by packing up our lives into boxes. By the end of the 1st day, we have a total of 15 boxes and 5 boxes of shoes and that is not even half of our total junk stuff. I also learned that I have become my mom! A Hoarder!! I keep boxes which I do not know for what use and plastic containers and papers and ribbons and more boxes. 

At this point after 2 days of packing, what is left to pack in my kitchen, and my bags, our clothes and more uncategorized items.I intend to finish all the packing by the end of this week *fingers cross* maybe another 15 more boxes or so we should be done :)

So right now I am gonna go back and start calling my project manager and harass her.

The One with Another Life Update

A year ago, I posted in my blog that we would be moving to a larger home... A year later, our larger home is still in the middle of renovation. And our pockets are waaayyyy lighter!! We dipped into our baby fund to "fund" our new home :) Ahh I can hear the disappointed sighs....but money can be earned and safe again... it's not like we are having a baby tomorrow!

Next week would be hectic again, as work travels starts again....doing Hong Kong in one day and Bangkok after... Then it will be October!! I LOVE OCTOBER!! It's the best month on the year...EVERY YEAR!!! This October would be huge...we will be celebrating our 4th wedding anniversary  and my 31st birthday! And to top it up, we will be dressing up for weddings!! LOVE weddings!! and then it's time to get ready to "pindah " house!! Excitement! 

Oh... yes... this weekend is hen's weekend for Ma!! All the ladies will be coming up to Penang!! It's just us girlies and Peter :) 

Dear God,

Please DON't HUJAN!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!

Not this weekend...you can hujan next weekend.

News Flash!

A piece of news.... great piece of news!!

NO, we are NOT preganant... *&%$#^&^&

We are planning to move into a bigger house in Penang!!!

Yes... hubs and I have finally decided to move from our tiny condo into a semi-d house... so that calls for another round with the lawyers, bankers and interior designers and contractors.

Why do we always put ourselves in situations like that...

Nothing is conclusive yet... the house is there but now the problem is do we have enough moolah to renovate the house... its a huge job!!

The newsagent ah neh downstairs was asking me if I am renovating my house, cause this morning, I bought 6 house reno and ID magazine!! Yes I IS MENTAL a Bit!

Anyone interested in purchasing a luxury condominum...3/4 furnished...

All Hail and Rain @ Pinto

This is what we saw when we got home to Pinto! MY GARDEN is in a MESS!!!! (grass is fake! so it always looks good). The trees and bushes are like gila babi! and there are weeds everywhere and it killed 3 of my Rosemary bushes! My supposed "creek" garden has turned into a wild wetland!!! * faints*

So we called our gardener Paul...and unfortunately we found he has been in and out of the hospital for treatment of his cancer and that is why our garden was not upkeep... so sad to hear that he had a relapse. So its ok if our garden is in a mess... can be fix!

The house was ok, not THAT dirty ...just that it has lotsa webs and dust....after almost 6 months its still fairly clean. We started cleaning and cleaning and cleaning and we manage to get the house look livable after 6 hours!

So far we have not met up with any friends or family yet... just lotsa grocery shoppin to stock up my pantry, lotsa washing, meeting with our accountant and lawyers and looking for a new car! Yes we are trading up to a bigger, meaner 4 wheel drive... so sad if the deal falls through I will have to say goodbye to Foxy Beemer!

On a totally different subject. Hubs bought me this @ Changi airport! I LOVE HIM!!! ( in my defense, it was on SALE and it was either this or a Bottega bag - which was also on sale 30% off!)

2nd Housewarming Weekend

Everyone had finally left… sad… been super crazy for the last 1 week… after sending the in-laws back to peejay, waited for the hubs peejay friends and other halves to visit… it was great…

Friday nite had my two best friend visit our new place… popped a bottle of Moet & Chandon and a Cab Sav, watch a bit of Will & Grace, gossiped while waiting for the rest to arrive.

-started with Moet and ended with beer-

The peejay crew finally made their appearance at 2am in the morning… siau… continue with many cans of beer and puke like 4 times…finally went to bed drunk at 5am. Woke up with a terrible hang over…fui yoh damn tiring… but fun! The whole weekend was again filled with eating, swimming, gossiping playing with hubs new PS3 and BBQ and a bit of gambling… hehehehe… celebration mah!!! (2nd house warming weekend!)

The View Updates

We seriously need to move out soon… I am very edgy and pissed off with the delays… can’t these F**ckers do things properly?? Aarrgghhhh…

I have written a complain letter to their management and I really hope something will be done about it... but I have a strong feeling that they will just blah it aside... typical huh? how to progress like that? SAD... really SAD...

Hubs is equally fras with these people... what hey what can we do about it... but to think about it... i think me and hubs are too anal with things...

Recently we went to our new neighbors’ place... and we were surprise that they accepted the job done!! I was like never never never... the paint is not even, the finishing is not that fantastic and the grouting is poorly done... like chin chai job... oh well...I guess different people have different expectation... but hell not to me!! I will chop chop chop!!!!

Anyhooss... besides these pathetic-could-not-be-bothered tradesmen, our project manager is a nice fella...I pity him sometimes caught in between our demands and the tradesmen. Haiiii...so not professional these people...

Fingers cross... GOD please let us move in soon... I need to decorate... its getting to me... even alcohol is not doing any justice to me now!!!!

The View : Part 3

Our “View” is under heavy construction at the moment… with hacking and tearing down of walls and toilets and sinks… we have turned the “maid’s” room into a laundry room…yes I am going to live without a maid…heard horrible stories ‘bout maids…a few drove my mom up the wall!!

Then, we also hacked the wall from the dry kitchen to my ultra small wet kitchen to make it into a open plan kitchen…even I still can’t have my island but…our “Pinto” has one…so ya!...and to make space for my ever growing shoe collection to live in, hub’s has turn the powder room into a shoe room…yay!!! I now have a room for my precious precious shoes!!! God bless my hubs! And for that he gets a shelf for his shoes!

Backyard Blitz

It has been almost 3 years since we moved in and my garden was slowly dying due to our non-existence attention! We finally decided on doing a proper landscaping job…and yes it was very PROPER as it cause us a BOMB!!! (note to self-DIY is essential). Noooo we did not DIY it, we paid a bunch of young, hot, (desperate housewife equivalent) men to do the deed! Hehehehe…I do pray to God that I would not slowly kill it… if I can kill Aussie native plants; then I have lost all hope in finding my green thumb!

The View: Part 1

Yay!!! Finally we got the keys to our home…our new home…or what Jack calls “Our Investment”. Well one thing for sure…the condo did live up to the name…our unit sure have a view…a fantastic view of Penang Bridge and all…(all= the sea around Penang bridge, the expressway, Pulau Jerejak, Butterworth)

Now it is time to do the ID of the condo…knowing I am ANAL…I sort of pity the designer… our first meeting with him…I see him breaking out in cold sweat when Jack told him that he should not have given me his personal mobile phone cause I will haunt him day and night! NOT TRUE!!! I guess I will only kacau him during office hours, Saturday and maybe Sunday…but not public holidays…not that bad la rite…
