Reminiscence of My Old Nite Life

It has been almost 4 years since I have been clubbing in Melbourne…seriously…mine was the days of Salt, Siren and QBH…not to mention some underground clubs…last time it was about getting half drunk at home or in the car before heading into the clubs and dance the night away…last time, I was on the “LIST”…last time…I knew a lot of people… NOW…it has all changed… I am no longer on the “LIST” and the clubbing scenes have changed…a lot…well…in my eyes that is.

Ahhh... I am getting old…past my clubbing expiry date… but it was still fun when hus and myself went to Long Room with some new friends few nights ago…the girls are young and sexy, the boys are hot…and young…felt out of place…but it was still good… now they drink whisky with green tea??!!! Weird…I prefer mine on the rocks… (another sign of old age) *sigh* wish I was 21 again…missed those years!!! *sigh* Mind you, not that I don’t love my life now… I absolutely LOVE my life…time to move on to better things in life… Thanks Erns and Weels for a nite of reminiscence.

Day Out with the In Laws: Mornington Peninsula & Dandenongs

My in laws was in Melbourne last 2 weeks and we had a tiring and fun time bringing them around Victoria…they went back to KL happy, and stuffed with plenty of beef, cheese and milk hahahahaha… I have posted up some pictures of our few outings… and I realised that I do have a HUGE problem with shoes…did not believe myself until my hubs took pics of me buying shoes in the quaint village of Mornington! But hey it was only AUD20!!! So I bought two pairs… I think I really have a problem!

Easter Monday...sick...but then because of my favorite vineyard at the Yarra Valley, I am so there!!! My God! I am such an alcoholic! After a bottle of sparkling rose and a light lunch I was feeling sooo much better...maybe it is the fresh air...who knows...hehehehe....

2nd Highlight of the Week: Ms. Tourism Penang 2007

2nd highlight?? Well of cause the grand finals for Ms. Tourism Penang 2007!!!... Beauty Pageant is a dirty dirty game… what goes on backstage is so outrageous!! But hey who cares about their dirty politics, and beauty queens… I had fun being one of the judges and most importantly it was for charity!!! Hehehe…yup first time as a beauty pageant judge…but got to say... one word “Monet” Beautiful from far, …from near!!! Hehehehe… you get the gist!! And below all the paint is just another ordinary girl like you and me!!!

The Man in My Life: My Hubs

I realize I have been ignoring the fact that the most important person in my life is not only my parents, it is also my hubby… what will I ever do without him…yes sometimes he can be very irritating, annoying, immature, moody, the list goes on…but then again…this fellow makes me laugh while irritating me, and always keep me grounded (I love to build castles in the air…yes directly above my head!!!) and I know he loves me dearly…this is our short story…

We met while we were studying in Melbourne. It was his 1st year in our Uni and it was my last semester for me. That semester, I kept hearing about this Mr. Casanova (oohhh) and he is new to our campus and all girls would just fall on their feet for him! So I was interested to know who is he and what is so great about this new guy on campus. When finally I manage to meet him in one of our Student Union Pub Nite’, I was just sitting and chatting with some friends when I saw this guy with a really nice and perky butt playing pool, not bad looking…a friend of mine told me that was Mr. Casanova!!! Then I wanted to be introduced to him ASAP! ( I was desperate!) That is how I met Jack the Casanova! He was shy when we were introduced not the smooth talking or playboy type. We hit it off immediately, and the best part of it was he made me laugh after a long time as I was in a state of depression after coming out from a failed relationship, swearing that I will never be serious with another man again! He was very genuine from the very start. We were basically inseparable since the minute we met until today, literally!

I realize when I fell in love with him was when made me feel secure again. What made the deal was when he met my parents and whole family for the first time by the bus load in Melbourne and he hit it off with every single one of them, from young to old and he did not run for his life! And I realize that I am going to make him take me as his wife was when he decided to move to Penang and live with me!!! (what a big sacrifice…love my in laws for being so understanding!!!)

What can I say? I thank God everyday for bringing him to me…I pray that I am a fantastic wife, lover and friend to him as he is to me…

My Ex Boy Friend's Wedding

Finally my ex-bf who is also my ex housemate got married... so bloody happy for him...seriously!! We never tot he would actually tie the know but he did... at the age of...lets put it -LATE!!! Just looking at him made me smile...its like he is all grown up!! hahahaha...it was an excellent weekend, getting to meet all my ex uni mates for the first time after almost 7 years!!! I LOVE WEDDINGS!!!!
